Arts of the Pamlico works closely with several groups to offer educational and social activities here at the Turnage Theatre and Gallery and in the community. Whether it is open jam sessions, creative workshops or gatherings or conferences, you are sure to find something to entertain your senses. Beaufort County Choral Society (BCCS) - The Beaufort County Choral Society consists of seasoned singers and a musical director. We meet regularly for practice and to present performances to the public. The Turnage Theatre and Gallery offers a perfect stage and professional setting for our presentations which are offered at various times throughout the year. 

Beaufort County Community Orchestra (BCCO) - The Beaufort County Community Orchestra is a group of musicians in the Washington, N.C. area. We currently perform two main concerts each year at the Turnage Theatre and elsewhere. They also provide an opportunity for younger string players to play in an orchestra.

Beaufort County Traditional Music Association -  The Beaufort County Traditional Music Association is a grassroots effort to promote the performance and enjoyment of traditional music in the Beaufort County community. BCTMA has open jams at the Turnage Theatre nearly every Thursday evening and Saturday morning.

Haunted Pamlico -  Haunted Pamlico is an independent monster theater group and information hub for haunted events in and around Beaufort County. 

Historic Port of Washington Project  - The Historic Port of Washington Project is a program undertaken by a group of dedicated volunteers that wish to preserve and call attention to the rich maritime history of Washington, NC. 

Pamlico Writers' Group The Pamlico Writers Group is committed to the belief in the importance of communicating the art of literature. The group meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays, hosts workshops and an annual writers' conference and competition at the Turnage Theatre  

Natural Fibers Group This group combines basketry, crafts and art creating from nature and learning from one another. Monthly meetings on the 1st Monday of the month at 10 AM at the Turnage Theatre provide opportunities to become involved in specific projects, talks, demonstrations, gathering materials, or field trips. 

Inner Banks Storytellers -  The IBX Storytellers Group is a group of about 10 folks who love to tell stories. We occasionally meet to share stories and ideas at the Turnage Theatre.
