Film Festivals

Glass Tulip Film Festival April 14 & 15, 2017

Blue Tipli High Pixels     

Featuring Amateur and Student films from North Carolina. 

Eligible students must be attending a NC high school, college or university. Amateurs are non-student, non-professional full-time film makers. 

The festival will be held at the Historic Turnage Theatre in downtown Washington, North Carolina. 

Opening April 14th  at 7 PM with the winning Best Overall film shown preceded by a meet & greet with some of the judges, film makers & cast. Best of each film category shown on Saturday, April 15. 

Tickets on sale March 30, 2017.

Rules & Fees: Applicants may enter as many entries in a single category as they like but may not enter the same entry in multiple categories. Fees are waived for this first festival so join us in kicking off the Glass Tulip Film Festival with your entry!

Entries by Film Freeway only. 

Submissions accepted from December 15 through March 15, 2017.

- Short (30 minutes or less)

- Nature

- Historic

- Horror

- Documentary

Acknowledgement for the Best of Category and cash prizes across submissions for Best Overall ($350), Best Short ($150) & Best Full Length ($150) accompanied by an Arts of the Pamlico's unique Glass Tulip Award.

Marquee on Main Film Festival September 15 -17, 2017

Turnagefront

Featuring professional films by independent producers from across the country and internationally and North Carolina student films. 

Eligible students must be attending a NC high school, college or university.

This three-day festival will be held at the Historic Turnage Theatre in downtown Washington, North Carolina. Opening September 15th at 7 PM with the winning 

Best Overall film shown preceded by a meet & greet with some of the judges, film makers & cast. Best of each film category shown on Sunday, September 17, 2017.  

Submissions by Film Freeway only. 

Submissions accepted December 6 - March 30, 2017.  Winners announced by May 5, 2017. Promotions begin May 15, 2017.

Tickets on sale August 1, 2017.
