Beaufort County Traditional Music Association hosts Guitarist Jon Shain for Summer Concert Series on June 14 at 7 PM.
Washington, NC:    The Beaufort County Traditional Music Association continues their “Decade of Tradition” by featuring Jon Shain in their Summer Regional Concert Series. Jon is a veteran singer-songwriter who has been turning heads for years with his words, his fiery acoustic guitar work and his evolved musical style- combining improvised piedmont blues with bluegrass, swing, and ragtime. The last few years have seen Shain headlining listening rooms on the East Coast, in the Midwest, and in Europe, as well as opening shows for John Hiatt, Keb’ Mo’, Little Feat, and others. The show runs 7:00-9:00 PM at the Turnage Theatre Gallery, 150 W. Main Street, Washington.  Admission is free and donations are appreciated.
The popular BCTMA Variety Show returns on June 21 at the Turnage Theatre Gallery.  Bobby Moore hosts the talented lineup of local musicians.  These include Jim Williams, Sidney, David, Donnie, and Bobby Moore.   Join us for a fun evening from 7:00-9:00 PM.  Admission is free and donations are appreciated.    
The Beaufort County Traditional Music Association is a grass roots non-profit organization that promotes the performance and enjoyment of traditional music in Eastern NC.  Thanks to the assistance and oversight of Arts of the Pamlico, the BCTMA has grown into an active group of musicians and supporters dedicated to the nurturing and sharing of their love of traditional music.  The group holds open jams on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings.  For more information, please visit or call 252-946-2504.
