Sassy Sirens of the Screen
September 14 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm EDT
September welcomes two of the most dynamic women to ever grace the big screen.
In one corner we have the lovely, amazingly talented Bette Davis in “Of Human Bondage” where she portrays vulgar tearoom waitress Mildred Rogers. She is cruel to poor Leslie Howard’s Philip. Many critics feel this 1934 classic is the film that made Davis a star.
In the opposing corner, Mommie Dearest herself, Joan Crawford in “Rain.” Joan Crawford as prostitute Sadie Thompson and features Walter Huston as a conflicted missionary who wants to reform Sadie, but whose own morals start decaying.
Films begin at 12 pm and are presented for free for your enjoyment, donations are appreciated and you know these Divas would demand it!
