AOP Summer Art Camp – Movie Camp
July 26 @ 1:30 pm - July 30 @ 5:00 pm EDT
“Let’s Make a Movie!” During this camp students will learn key elements in organizing and presenting a completed film. Topics to be covered include development of an idea for a film, storyboarding the script for filming purposes, directing the actors, lighting, costuming, sound, editing the film once shot, and presenting the film to parents on the final day.
Instructor: Jennifer Woolard, MAEd., NBCT., is a native of Beaufort County where she became interested in photography and videography at a young age. She started shooting and editing in 1997 and began documenting everything from life on the Pamlico River to weddings in eastern North Carolina. Her experience performing on stage lead to a position on the board of directors for the Washington Community Theater Association in 1998. Ms. Woolard graduated from East Carolina University with a Master’s degree in 2005. She started teaching at Northside High School in the year 2000, and began directing theater performances including an annual competition titled Battle for the Arts. At this time, Ms. Woolard founded a film department for students, now called Screen Voyage Motion Pictures. This program uses state of the art technology and creative solutions to achieve excellence in film. Jennifer is experienced with aerial photography and has an interest in local historical photography. She is now a two-time National Board Certified teacher and is currently working on two local documentaries.
