BRAVO! Arts Afterschool

Classes offered for students k-8 at the Historic Turnage Theatre

BRAVO! Afterschool is a semester long commitment (August 23rd-December 17th).  Register for a minimum of 2 days/week and up to 5 days/week

  • Monday – Music with Ethan
  • Tuesday – Pottery with Heather (FULL FOR FALL 2021 SEMESTER)
  • Wednesday – Theatre with Ethan
  • Thursday – Mixed Media with Heather
  • Friday – Dance with Meghan

Afterschool Fees

  • $120/month – 2 day a week
  • $170/month – 3 days a week
  • $225/month – 4 days a week
  • $280/month – 5 days a week

Commitments will need to be made for an entire semester at a time and students must be signed up for a minimum of 3 days per week.

Students may be dropped off at 3 PM or later and picked up no later than 5:30. The arts portion begins no later than 3:45 PM with homework support provided as applicable.

Space is limited and sign up is on a first come – first served basis.

*Students enrolled in our afterschool program will be given an early bird sign up opportunity for our Spring Break 2022 STEAM camp!

* Partial scholarships for 1 day for 1 month are based on funding available and need.

Pirates of the Pamlico Theatre 
Overview: This original play by Rachel Kay Isaac about pirates who sailed the Pamlico Sound and young pirate wanna-be’s will be produced and shared on stage and outdoors throughout the next year.

Chalkfest!
Overview: Public, Private and Home School Groups across Beaufort County are invited to join in the fun of creating chalk art during AOP’s first Chalkfest on October 16, 2021. This youth arts event will be held during the Washington Noon Rotary’s Annual Smoke on the Water event on the waterfront in Washington, NC.

Bubblegum Theatre Halloween Show
Overview: AOP’s Youth Theatre Troupe, Bubblegum Theatre, will be on stage with a Halloween show on October 30th at 4 PM. This is a free community theatre program for Beaufort County youth in grades K-8.
 
Auditions: Date to be announced.
 
Rehearsals: October 4th – 29th, schedule to be shared
 
Show Date: October 30 at 4 PM on stage at the Historic Turnage Theatre

ECU Playwriting Workshop
Overview: East Carolina University’s Dr. Patch Clark will lead a playwriting workshop at the Historic Turnage Theatre on November 6, 2021.

Children’s Holiday Shop
Overview: AOP’s Annual Holiday Tradition continues on December 12 at the Historic Turnage Theatre. Youth shop with an adult or may be pre-registered and signed in to be assigned to an AOP Elf Shopper to find affordable art or create hand made art as gifts.

Polar Express Movie Event
Overview: Mark your calendars for the train to arrive at the Historic Turnage Theatre on December 18 at 1 PM to the Polar Express Movie Event. Warm chocolate and a sugar cookie from Rachel K’s Bakery and a bell are offered to ticket holders who believe as they exit the theatre. Pajamas encouraged!
 
Tickets: Tickets will go on sale in October 2021.
 
Holiday Break Art Camp
Overview: AOP offers art camps for youth in grades K-8 during the summer, afterschool and during school breaks. A Holiday Art Camp for youth will be offered on December 20, 21 & 22 at the Historic Turnage Theatre.

Bubblegum Theatre Spring Show

Overview: AOP’s Youth Theatre Troupe, Bubblegum Theatre, will be on stage with a spring show. This is a free community theatre program for Beaufort County youth in grades K-8.

Overview: AOP partners with Beaufort County Schools to provide an opportunity for high school youth participating in art classes to meet faculty and professional artists at the Historic Turnage Theatre.

Scholarship Information
Overview: On Robin’s Wings is a scholarship fund for youth interested in participating in art programs at the Arts of the Pamlico.
 
 
Applications are accepted on a first come, first served basis and are offered to support partial costs for participation based on need and interest.
