Alice Hubbard Stallings
Alice Hubbard Stallings, originally from Norfolk, Virginia, made Washington, North Carolina her home with husband T. Franklin Stallings. A dedicated artist, she studied at East Carolina University and explored a wide range of media throughout her life.
Her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions, including a 2018 retrospective at Arts of the Pamlico celebrating her creative legacy. Beyond her art, Alice was a driving force in the local arts scene—she co-founded the Beaufort County Arts Council in 1972, which later became Arts of the Pamlico.
This exhibition proudly bears her name in tribute to her lifelong contributions to the arts and through the generous support of her family.
Meet the Juror: Will Barlift
Will Barclift is the Executive Director of Tryon Arts & Crafts School in Tryon, North Carolina, and brings more than a decade of experience in arts administration, education, and exhibition management.
Throughout his career, he has held leadership roles at respected arts organizations, including The Bascom and the San Francisco Art Institute, and has served as a juror for numerous exhibitions and North Carolina Arts Council Artist Support Grants.
A multidisciplinary artist working in painting, photography, ceramics, and installation, Will holds an MFA in New Genres from the San Francisco Art Institute and an MA in Teaching (Visual Arts) from Western Carolina University.
