An outrageous comedy is coming to the Turnage Theater March 5-7.

On those dates, Alternative Stage presents the 1970s-set bedroom farce, "Love, Sex, and the I.R.S." written by William Van Zandt and Jane Milmore.

The show has been described as a cross between "I Love Lucy" and "Some Like It Hot" ― and comic misunderstandings abound from curtain to curtain.

This raucous story of two roommates trying to cheat the IRS stars, in order of appearance, Savannah Wolf, Ethan Wolf, Tony Apple, Brandon Stephens, Russ Woolard, Paula Stephenson, Kelly Shanafelt, and Richard Young.

Tickets will be available through Arts of the Pamlico. Tickets cost $12 each for general admission or $10 each for seniors, students, and veterans.

Shows run at 7 p.m. March 5-6 and 3 p.m. March 7. Enjoy '70s music in the main gallery and purchase concessions from the local arts council before the curtain.

Don't miss the comedy hit of the season! If you need a good belly laugh, or lots of them, "Love, Sex, and the I.R.S." is for you.

We're presenting the show by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc.

This project is being supported by the North Carolina Arts Council’s Grassroots Grants funding from the Arts of the Pamlico.
