Art in the Garden: Mexican Talavera Pavers

Turn colorful pieces of Mexican Talavera tile into a handmade accent for your garden or yard. In this free, two-session workshop, you’ll create a 12 × 12-inch mosaic stepping stone while learning mosaic and tiling techniques, including how to mix and use grout and thinset/concrete.

You’ll plan your design and arrange your tiles during the first session, then return the following day to mix and apply grout to finish your creation.

Workshop schedule:

• October 13, 2026 | 1–2:30 p.m. — Plan your design and create your mosaic.

• October 14, 2026 | 1–2:30 p.m. — Mix and apply grout.

Please plan to attend both sessions to complete your stepping stone.

The workshop is free and has space for 10 participants. No experience needed—just a willingness to try something creative!
