Join Arts of the Pamlico for a special evening honoring Hispanic Heritage through art, film, and conversation.

Evening Line-Up:

  • 🎨 Student Mural Exhibit – View the mural created during our summer youth arts camp, on display in the hallway.

  • πŸŽ₯ Film Segments by Clay Johnson – Short video pieces highlighting the mural project, showing in the foyer.

  • 🎀 Guest Talk with Ben Deck (5:30–6:30 PM) – Professor of Geography & Communication at Beaufort County Community College, Ben Deck will discuss the historical context of migration from Latin America to the U.S., from World War II to the present, including economic and demographic factors such as the Bracero Program. A Q&A will follow.

  • 🎬 Feature Film Screening (6:30–8:30 PM) – Enjoy a free showing of In The Heights, Lin-Manuel Miranda’s vibrant musical celebrating dreams, family, and community.
