What a Year @ the Turnage!
Arts of the Pamlico’s programs and efforts to preserve the community’s gem of a theatre are made possible by you - our community, AOP’s board, committee members, volunteers, arts council members, donors, funders, sponsors & so many in our region and beyond who support arts & culture in Beaufort County. The theatre is home to the Makers ‘Gallery, the Beaufort County Traditional Music Association, the Tuesday Painters, and the Pamlico River Pottery Guild. And is used and supported by education, art, faith, business sponsors & community groups, PRI Wellness Corps, BCCC Small Business Center & more!

In 2025, AOP grew its reach substantially via print and online, which has supported ticket sales.

10K+ E-Newsletter recipients
22K+ ticket purchases, 80% with unique emails
Ticket sales and grants fueled work for artists, sound & lighting contractors, suppliers for everything from paper towels to pigeon deterrents, and paid for facility utilities, cleaning, repair & maintenance, and more in 2025, and were supported by 1.25 staff members and hundreds of volunteers.
In the past year, critical donations and grants supported facility repair and tech needs, which were completed and begun, putting in place the tools needed to generate income. Thanks to all who are keeping the theatre in good repair for all to enjoy! Watch for news on public art in the emerging art & wellness garden!

With 2026 right around the corner, be sure to save the date to celebrate and support your arts council during the AOP Gala event 100 Years & More on January 31, 2026, at the Turnage. Tickets go on sale December 29. And plan to join us in the palace theatre for Annie Jr. at the end of January, Morgan Hudson Band & Co in mid-February, comedy, dances, Roy Rogers country music event in mid-April, and youth arts camps in spring & summer, and...the list is long!
