Heather Summers has worked in ceramics since 2008–09. An ECU alumna in Art (ceramics) and Art Education (’16), she taught at Chocowinity Middle School, then served as Arts & Outreach Coordinator at Arts of the Pamlico, where she led pottery classes backstage at the theatre.

Now she runs Mud in Motion, a pottery learning center that offers classes for kids and adults, and builds community through clay.

Join the group to stay up-to-date on upcoming classes, opportunities, and exciting clay experiences—and help keep one of the oldest art forms alive.
