We’re thrilled to announce that, thanks to the generosity of private donors and a grant from the Marion Stedman Covington Foundation, Arts of the Pamlico has raised enough funds to repair our iconic Turnage Theatre marquee!

The marquee iconic lettering has been saved and replaced with flexible LED tube lighting to mirror the look and colors of the beautiful sign that lights up downtown Washington. .

Our heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who contributed to this effort to replace the neon lighting. Work continues on the bulbs under and surrounding the marquee to replace the failed sockets and lightbulbs battered by weather over the years.

As your countywide arts council and community theatre, AOP works to keep arts shining bright in Beaufort County and together we have ensured the beloved marquee lights up Main Street all year long!
