February Program – Soaring Through the Solar System
Take flight through space with us for another exciting installment of Beyond the Blue: Adventures in Astronomy, part of the Turnage Family Series!
On Tuesday, February 17, from 1:30–3:30 PM, kids and families are invited to explore our solar system in an immersive mobile planetarium experience, followed by a creative, hands-on science activity.
This month’s theme, “Soaring Through the Solar System,” introduces young explorers to the planets, their unique features, and how they move through space. After the planetarium show, participants will create their own pocket-sized solar system guide—a fun and educational keepsake they can take home.
Designed to spark curiosity and wonder, this program is engaging for kids while remaining enjoyable for parents and caregivers, making it a perfect family outing.
Beyond the Blue is a year-long planetarium series at the Turnage Theatre. Additional free programs will take place throughout the year, each featuring a different space-themed topic and hands-on activity.
