March Program – Make a Connection: Exploring Constellations
Connect the stars and spark your imagination during March’s Beyond the Blue: Adventures in Astronomy, part of the Turnage Family Series!
On Friday, March 13, from 5:00–7:00 PM, kids and families are invited to explore the night sky through an immersive mobile planetarium experience, followed by a hands-on, creative activity.
This month’s theme, “Make a Connection: Exploring Constellations,” introduces participants to the patterns and stories behind constellations and how people across cultures have used the stars to navigate, tell stories, and understand the universe. After the planetarium show, children will create their own constellation, using creativity and imagination to design a unique star pattern to take home.
Designed to inspire curiosity and wonder, this interactive program is engaging for kids while remaining enjoyable for parents and caregivers.
Beyond the Blue is a year-long planetarium series at the Turnage Theatre, featuring free, family-friendly programs that combine immersive planetarium shows with hands-on science activities.
