April Program – Distant Worlds & Alien Life: Seeking Answers Beyond Our Solar System
Are we alone in the universe? Explore that fascinating question during April’s Beyond the Blue: Adventures in Astronomy, part of the Turnage Family Series!
On Tuesday, April 14, from 12:30–2:30 PM, kids and families are invited to journey far beyond our solar system through an immersive mobile planetarium experience, followed by a hands-on exploration activity.
This month’s theme, “Distant Worlds & Alien Life: Seeking Answers Beyond Our Solar System,” introduces participants to exoplanets, distant galaxies, and the science behind the search for life beyond Earth. After the planetarium show, participants will take part in an interactive science activity designed to encourage curiosity, imagination, and critical thinking about what makes a planet potentially habitable.
Designed to spark wonder and big questions, this program is engaging for kids while remaining enjoyable for parents and caregivers.
Beyond the Blue is a year-long planetarium series at the Turnage Theatre, featuring free, family-friendly programs that combine immersive planetarium shows with hands-on science activities.
