Learning Collective: Great Books: War and Peace with Sheila Celata.

  • Historic Turnage Theatre 150 West Main Street Washington, NC, 27889 United States (map)

It’s huge. It’s glorious. And you need a support group to read it! Join your friends at the Learning Collective as we ignore the winter weather and plough through the “biggest” novel ever written. Aids to reading will be provided. (Who are all these characters?!) Russian refreshments and plenty of hot coffee provided. Get your book soon and be prepared.

Five Wednesdays: January 20 and 27; February 3, 10, and 17, 2027
10:30 AM–12:00 PM each session

$10 AOP members / $15 non-members. One ticket covers all five sessions.

About Sheila Celata: When Washington resident Sheila Celata retired, she told her friends she was going to read War and Peace. She’s put it off for two years. It’s time.

Reading edition: We will be reading the Anthony Briggs translation, available from Pamlico Books and online.

To receive member pricing, you must have an active AOP membership through SimpleTix and be logged in when purchasing tickets. Not a member? Purchase your membership here. Unsure of your membership status or need assistance? Contact Brittany Lane at outreach@artsofthepamlico.org.
