The Vaudeville Playhouse represents another chapter in the Turnage Theatre’s story and another opportunity to create a vibrant space for performances, programs, artists, and our community.

Phase I focuses on the structural, safety, electrical, and performance improvements necessary to move the restoration forward.

Restore the Grand Entrance
Repair the grand entrance and wide staircase leading to the second floor.
Strengthen the Structure
Replace the second-floor stair landing and wall and shore up the mezzanine underpinning.
Prepare the Theatre for Performances
Install electrical conduit, outlets, and stage lighting.
Improve Safety
Add a second egress for exits.
Restore Historic Theatre Elements
Repair flooring removed during joist installation and replace the removed proscenium arch.
Bring the Stage Back to Life
Repair the stage for future use.
Improve Comfort
Add HVAC units to support year-round use of the space.
