Choose Your Pumpkin Project
🎃 Carve Your Own
Choose a smaller pumpkin, sketch your design, then scoop and carve your creation.
🎃 No-Mess Carving
Want the fun of carving without cleaning out the pumpkin first? Choose a larger, pre-hollowed pumpkin that's ready for you to design and carve.
🎨 Paint & Markers
Skip the carving and create a colorful pumpkin using paint or markers. Painted pumpkins will receive a clear seal to help protect your artwork.
All ages and skill levels are welcome. Children should participate with an accompanying adult.
The event is free, with a suggested $5 donation. Up to 50 pumpkins will be available, so advance registration is encouraged to help us plan and make sure we have enough supplies for everyone.

The Living Canvas: Identity, Art, and Performance in the Hispanic World.

Can a wall tell a story? Can dance keep history alive? In The Living Canvas: Identity, Art, and Performance in the Hispanic World, Amy E. Wright takes audiences on a brief but colorful journey —from murals and marketplaces, to theater and storytelling— in streets and squares throughout the Americas. With memorable examples from Latin America and US Latino communities, she reveals how artists and performers down the years have transformed everyday spaces into living canvases for preserving memory, celebrating identities, and creating meaning.

A Tale of Two Perspectives: Gallery Exhibit Reception
A Tale of Two Perspectives: Joint Exhibit Reception
Join us at Arts of the Pamlico for a captivating evening celebrating our newest gallery exhibition, "A Tale of Two Perspectives," featuring the works of regional artists Denise Parry Barnett and Kelly Maness.
In this compelling joint exhibition, both artists offer contrasting yet complementary visions of the world. Denise Parry Barnett’s abstract interpretations of the female form trace an intimate journey of change, resilience, and becoming. Alongside her work, Kelly Maness's luminous oil paintings explore the delicate interplay of light and reflection, capturing fleeting moments with a quiet, arresting intensity. Together, these pieces invite viewers to move fluidly between emotion and observation, form and radiance.
